Summit Construction & Consulting is proud to partner with the Children’s Diabetes Foundation (CDF), the fundraising arm of the internationally recognized Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes (BDC), as its Official Roofing Partner, directly supporting their mission to advance type 1 diabetes care, research, and education.

Type 1 diabetes is a lifelong autoimmune disease affecting all ages. In the U.S., an estimated 64,000 people are diagnosed annually, and about 65% of new diagnoses occur in adults, highlighting the need for comprehensive care.

That care is delivered at scale through the Barbara Davis Center, a global leader serving 8,000+ patients from 49 states and 33+ countries. Each year, the Center treats roughly 375 newly diagnosed pediatric patients and 75–100 newly diagnosed adults. The need is also financial: type 1 diabetes is among the most expensive chronic illnesses, averaging $12,000 annually, with first-year care often reaching $20,000.

CDF closes this gap, supporting ~90% of Coloradans living with type 1 diabetes while extending resources worldwide. With our partnership Summit donates from every project, creating sustainable funding tied to everyday business.
